Travel & Accommodations
Before you fly
Check that your passport is valid, and skim the latest Indonesian entry rules before you book — they do change.
US citizens usually need an e-VOA (electronic visa on arrival) — apply online ahead of time — plus Bali’s small tourist levy (~$10 USD), also paid online before you land. Other passports: confirm what applies to you.
Getting there
We recommend booking flights to Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) early. If you’re not sure where to connect, Singapore (SIN) tends to have the most convenient routing and is a great default.
Other popular connections include Jakarta (CGK), Hong Kong (HKG), Tokyo (NRT/HND), Seoul (ICN), and Taipei (TPE).
In Bali
Everything for the wedding weekend is at Alila Villas Uluwatu. We’ll handle airport pickup and rides between your accommodations and the venue once we have your itinerary.
To thank you for making the trip — accommodations are covered for the wedding weekend, and for any hosted days after that are on your invite. We’ll confirm the exact dates with your formal invite.

When is the RSVP deadline?
For now, please save the date and feel free to start looking into flights — especially if you’re flying internationally. We’ll send formal invitations by early 2027 with more details and RSVP deadlines.

How do I get to Bali?
We recommend booking flights to Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) early. For routes, entry requirements (passport, visa, tourist levy), and transfers, see Travel & Accommodations.
I’m coming in early to beat jet lag — any advice?
If you’re in the region, we can recommend some lovely places to explore — from urban Singapore to the natural beauty of Labuan Bajo. In Bali there’s plenty to do: heritage and arts in Ubud, nightlife and surfing in Canggu, or if you’re already in Uluwatu, the Sunset Kecak Dance at Uluwatu Temple.
Let us know your plans so we can arrange transportation to your accommodations for the celebration weekend.
How do I get around the island?
All events for the wedding weekend are at Alila Villas Uluwatu. Transportation to and from the airport, and between your accommodations and the venue, will be provided — we’ll coordinate pickup once we have your itinerary. More in Travel & Accommodations.
Can I bring additional guests?
Because of limited venue capacity, we’re unable to accommodate guests not listed on the invitation. If there’s someone you’d love to bring, let us know — should we have room closer to the date, we’ll reach out.
What will the weather be like, and what should I wear?
Bali in July sits in the middle of dry season — warm, sunny days with very little rain (usually just a few brief showers across the month). Cooler winds from Australia make it a touch milder than you might expect from a tropical island.
Daytime temps run about 79–88°F (26–31°C), dropping to around 72–75°F (22–24°C) at night — slightly cooler in Uluwatu and Ubud. Pack light, breathable fabrics for the day, something a little warmer for evening, and don’t skip the sunscreen — the sun is strong even with the cooler air.
I can’t make it to Bali. Will there be other celebrations?
We’ll be hosting dinner receptions in both Jakarta and St. Louis for those unable to make it to Bali. More details to follow.
